BIOGRAPHY Jonathan Wiesner Jonathan is the proprietor of Island Going, and in most cases will be your guide. Aged 61, he used to live in the Isle of Skye. Ever since, given his interest in the region's history, myth and literature, he has been a regular visitor to the Western Highlands and Islands of Scotland, and has been able to venture far and wide throughout the region over 40 years, by land and by sea. After providing advice, arranging tours, and guiding friends and acquaintances over many years, he formed Island Going as a professional organisation to make available his wealth of experience and knowledge of the region to the discerning and independent traveller who wishes to travel through a beautiful and unspoilt area in considerable comfort. Jonathan has a house on the Island of Scalpay in the Outer Hebrides, and is a member of the National Trust and Historic Scotland.
